Unhappy MOT - Decats - FAILED - Please Help!

Hi,

Car just failed the MOT for too much CO2.

I have a Blitz Nur Spec system and I think a ScoobySport group A downpipe.
I have an ECUTEK3 TSL Remap
I have the original first cat (at the turbo) in the boot ready to go on if it can

1. Will the cat just bolt in place?
2. Will the cat have to come off again due to upsetting the remap?
3. Was there another cat in the middle somewhere?

Please help, cheers, Ricky.

if you can it would be far better to get hold of a centre cat, it will be miles easier to fit than the D/P cat, if you get a centre cat fitted ensure you get the engine nice and hot prior to the test, more heat=more efficiency.

good luck
Andy

Presuming its a classic, haver you checked for any CEL, you could have a problem with your lambda sensor?

Cheers for replying, only got the dp cat though :-(
No CEL and the oxygen content and Hydrocarbons are all in limits, it's just the CO2.

You'll NEVER pass the MOT with no cats.

What MY do you have? import/uk?

If the system is a 2.5", then the original DP will bolt back on. It does take some time though and it's better coming back off agin or it will strangle the performance.

If you have a friendly mot'er stick the DP on the tailpipe and push the probe in that.

If you are in the NW of england, you are welcome to a classic JDM centre pipe from a MY99 WRX FOC.
