Cars broken down.....
Was sat at some traffic lights on tickover and it just died.
Loads of relays where all clicking and the fuel pump keeps running even with the the ignition on its first stage.
After some tinkering with earths under the engine bay i managed to get it running only for it to go again a few minutes later (i think it was coincidence now)! Got it running again and atleast i managed to get it home (luckily was only about 5 mins away)
Its on the driveway now still with relays clicking away (under the dash and in the engine bay) every time the ignition gets turned on!
All its succeeding in doing is filling the bores up with fuel and hydraulic locking.Ive unplugged the fuelpump from the tank and the relays remain clicking (sometimes they stop and it will start after the bores have been cleared of there excess fuel)
Sounds like earthing faults to me but considering either ignition switch or ignition relay?Ive cleaned all the earths under the bonnet but cant find any under the dash?Anyone know where there are any?Been and disconnected all multiplugs etc under there and cleaned etc but still to no avail.
