i got a 1994 wrx import, running a power engineering re map, hks induction and full exhaust but still retaining down pipe cat, last night i got what i think to be a miss fire around 4k. boost seemed steady and i wasnt pickin up anything from my knock link, o2 seemed fine, im not sure if this could be coil packs or plugs? or anything else. anyone had this problem before?????????

 

I seem to be having the same problem. I was sorting out another problem when i heard a cracking sound coming from what I think is the front drivers side coil pack. It sounds as though the spark is jumping across to the block. I will try again when it is dark and I may be able to see the spark jump. May be worth checking yours for the same problem. Cheers. yeah coil packs a cracked to hell on mine, just plastic welded them today and it seems to be fine now
