confused!!

Question confused!!

what do all the numbers and letters mean ry03?? rb5??etc how many different types of imprezas are there?? im trying to find out what exact model ive got,it was registered in 1998 and its got both wrx and sti badges on rear plus an sti badge on dash and intercooler,now for what ive been reading from this site sti"s had trackers as standard??? am i right??? dont think mine has one so im presuming someone has just put the sti badges on it??? i would put a pic up but dont think i can,how can i tell what exact model i have

my00 my99 etc is the year of manufacture so yours is probably an my98. but this is not definate as it could be a my97 and registered/first sold in 98.
RB5, P1 and 22b are all limited edtions and in classic shape's wrx and sti models are jap imports.

mines an import so i guess its a classic,thanks for the info im gonna check it out and see if i can get my head round all this jap stuff took me about 6 years to learn everything about my 306 gti6 so god knows how long it will take me to work out what ive got now

sounds like either a JDM Sti 4 or JDM Sti 5
