first off i would just like to say hello to every 1.
now i have a 96 sti import with full de-cat d/v and induction kit the problem is the car starts and runs fine when cold but after about 20 mins driving the CEL light comes on and when between 4-5000 revs it looses total power the rev counter goes to 0 and there is no pull at all unless you ease off the accelerator or change gear then it comes back to life. i have just fitted a new lambda sensor cleaned the MAF and boost solenoid i dont know what else to do i dont know much about these cars but i am hoping to learn from this site
if any 1 can help i will be truly greatful.

Hello mate i was in the same boat a few weeks back.

I suggest you find out how to get to diagnostics. This will save you alot of f**kin around. sounds like the MAF sensor to me as mine was doing the same.
cleaning it mite not make any difference.

Start there first, my 93 import has 2 connectors under the steering column. This gives you an error code.

You could be hitting fuel cut defence. sounds like something that use to happen on my old GT-four. Do tou know what pressure you're boosting at?

This sounds like your in limp mode, as suggested do a diagnostic check, this will show any error codes if any. If nothing shows on that, then do an ecu reset, this will take you out of limp mode. Make sure you are using good quality fuel as well, super unleaded as a minimum (unless your car has been mapped to run on normal unleaded) , if you are only using normal unleaded then make sure you are using a good octane booster to compliment it.

If all that fails then take it to a specialist.

Dont lose faith with it just yet though, it will be worth it when its right.
