Question STi radiator cap

Apart from the price (and sticker!) whats the differance between these 2?:

And any problems fitting to a MY00 PPP???

The 2nd one looks a bit fake to me, but I could be wrong?

Make sure you get an genuine one.
I have the immitiation but that makes the coollinghoses flat/vaccuum after a drive around. i've put back on the oem one and no problems anymore

It has a higher pressure rating. If you increase the pressure, it increses the boiling point of water.

Sorry, I must half been half asleep when I replied. I can't tell you what the difference is but I bought mine from the same chap as in the first link you supllied.

So is it safe to fit to a MY00 PPP - or is it meant for cars with tougher/silocone hoses??

Oh course....i have put it on my old '95 and ran for months without any problems and i don't have any upgraded samco's or anything like that.

just put a new radiator on my car yesterday! it had cracked and started to leak in a few places,this was since having a sti 1.3bar rad cap on instead of a standard one which i reckon was the culprit!!!! standard rad and hoses was eventually too much strain for higher boiling point cap.
