Default Advice requested from a new member.

Hi guys from a new member.

I have a 1993 import WRX. Mods so far are tubular manifolds, de-cat pipe, 3" sports exhaust, Manual boost control set at 1.1 bar, Pipercross induction kit, blow off valve and speed restrictor removed.
Any idea what sort of BHP figures I will be seeing from this lot? It runs real strong. If anything I think it is too strong as I am now getting clutch slip under boost. Are there any budget uprated clutch kits out there? As a familly man I must watch the pennies . I am also after a set of clocks. These are the 9000 rev 180kms ones with the spedo on the left. Anyone have a spare set they would like to sell? I hope to be an active member of your group. Take it easy. Cheers. Mark.

I have exactly the same mods as you scoobymark66, but also have scoobyECU on a 95 WRX. I think mine around 310bhp?

I was assured that the Exedy clutch would cope, I paid my £325 for it supplied and fitted, well it lasted 5000 miles and 7 months, went back on warranty and they said it was just worn out, they accused me of tracking the car, but it has only been used on roads. New (free) one fitted, that managed 8000 miles and 10 months!

On inspection the sprung centre is very good, but the clutch material is nothing special, I would not buy another. I still have to write a complaint letter to Excedy / their distributers.

I bought an AP Racing paddle clutch (friction plate only) off ebay for £120 and used the exedy pressure plate and release bearing. 3 months later and some hard driving I have no problems and shouldnt wear this plate out!
