Default Upgrade from IHI VF28 to .....TD05 18G?

Got headers & FMIC to get done before the turbo & re-map but still wondering if a new blower would do the job..

Assuming the injectors & Walbro go on soon I'll be looking for specs.

Search like mad and still came up with questions.... I know this has been done to death.. still searching!

Spec daily fast road car with track day use each month or so. Possibly the odd drag outing but not wanting the big numbers if it means lots of lag..

I currently have the IHI VF28, spools by 3500 & pulls untill 6500 really I actually find it laggy (could be my current map) running 1.3 bar peak I would like a bigger kick mid range and ultimate goal 400bhp The TD05 - 18G seems to be popular. I assume its not a huge investment in time to swap over?

How much can it be done for inc gaskets, labour & a new unit?

Lastly... any other turbos worth considering?

Call AndyF and discuss tacktics with him.
You may find the 20g laggy on the road, but needed to get 400+

Graham.

IMO the TD05 'super' 16g is the best all around turbo for the WRX. They can flow up to 580cfm (just 15cfm less than the 18g!) and support about 370hp or so. I installed one on a '95 WRX and its AWSOME!
