Was told my rocker cover is leaking oil, though nothing major at present....

Just wanted to know what impact will this have to car? if any?

How much would it cost to have repaired..

Common problem, mainly on the drivers side due to the heat from the turbo. ran mine for 6 months with a leak. smoke from the engine bay when the engine is warm and you are stopped and nasty smell in car. Cost me bout £50 for the parts from subaru. Not too hard a job to do yourself. Took me bout 2 hrs.

My was leaking too, took it off at the weekend (rounding off a bolt at the same time and having to weld on a bar to get it off). It depends on what is causing the leak, half moon gaskets are £7 each and the whole rocker cover gasket should be about a tenner.

Mine was leaking on to the uppipe wrapping causing it to smoke badly as soon as I used the boost and got the pipe hot!

Mine went a couple of times sam.

Attempted quick fix but in the end had to pay for it sorting. Parts were pretty cheap but labour took the total cost to £125.00
