engine coolant sensor for my94 wrx?

Question engine coolant sensor for my94 wrx?

hi can anyone tell me where i can get one for my94 wrx as i have had a check engine light warning? when i did the self diagnostic this was what it was coming up with. will one from the main dealer for a uk turbo fit and does anyone know how much they are?

I replaced one of these on my 95 WRX. You should be able to order one from your local dealer if you give him your chasis number, may take him a day to get the part number as it's a import. Think it was around £20 from memory, it sits on top of the block the towards the back of the block on the left hand side. You can just about get to it by removing some of the turbo pipework, I will try to get a picture which will explain more. My dealer printed of the schematic diagram for me which helped a lot.

thanks mate thats a big help will contact my local dealer tomorrow to try and sort it out. those pics would be great to see!

You should be able to get a sensor easily enough from a dealer - AFAIK the part is common to UK & JDM cars.

the sensor is 28 quid from subaru, and its easy to do, just dont break the plug on it, and remember when you take it out, it WILL **** coolant out!!!!!
