Default SECS Data Monitor

One of the features of this is below...

- Knock correct - degrees (ignition timing)

Does this do the same thing as a knock link would? I say this as I'm in need of a knock link but also some other data stuff.....this might do it all....

Anyone able to confirm?

all it reads is the amount of knock correction your ecu is calculating... It is not showing knock.. you'l still need a knock link because your ecu can only do so much before it actually knocks etc.. also KC is only available on the later cars I believe (MY01 onwards)

so the best route with all this monitoring gear may well be a knocklink + guages?

The defi bf's are pricey but everyone recommends them....

Depends on your state of tune, but Knocklink, boost gauge and Lambdalink does me. Only other things that may be of benefit: Oil temp gauge and charge temp gauge.
