Rough cost of up-pipe cat replacement
Anyone know roughly what it will cost to get the up-pipe cat replaced on my 01 wrx, its rattling a bit and needs to be sorted, either a new cat or replacement pipe.

I'd replace it sooner than later - the last thing needed is a bit of the breaking cat passing into the turbo....
If you want to replace like for like then try a s/hand one from a breakers such as grade-a.
They will also be able to do the non-cat OEM versions from classics and new STis.
There is no boss to refit the exhaust temp sensor on this option though, so an easy resistor fix will be needed to stop the check light showing.
All should be IRO £45.
New OEM one £200?
The other cost will be labour if you don't DIY. This will be up to 3 hrs so expect IRO £120-150.
There's plenty of threads on how to do this by yourself though.

Been quoted 100 quid for a magnex replacement pipe and about 5 hrs labour at 37 per hr, anyone know if the magnex has boss for temp sensor or will I still need the resistor fix.
