How much oil in the WRX

How much oil in the WRX
Did a oil change yesterday new filter and Castrol Magnatec 10/40 P/S
Anyway i put 4.5litres in ''like the book says''
And it was puffin sooooooo much smoke outta the exhaust today on idle and when you blip the throttle.
Anyway after a bit of investication noticed it was burning oil. so look at the Dipstick and it was abit above the ''F'' so at the girlfriends house the car goes up in the air and had to take a Litre of oil outta the engine.
Luckley my girlfriends Brother is a VW mechanic so has all the snap on tools and that to do the job which was good.
So how much oil do you put in you Impreza's mines a WRX 2003 4.5l is far to much in my opinion.
I hope it aint fecked anythhink up tho.

if you put 4.5 in then that can only mean that it wasnt all out when it was drained.
mystery as to why it was doing that unless you got turbo trouble?

Cars only done 13,000 miles hope it aint the turbo.
I drove the car on the ramp emptd the oil new filter sump nut back on, filled up and then day after smoke outta the back.
I took a litre of oil out and the smoke has nearly gone so it only has 3.8 litres of new oil.

possibly, and your right it shoudlnt be the turbo with only 13k on it!
see how it goes but check the oil in a few days to see if the levels gone down at all.

I have now lost track of what mods you have done to the car .......LOL
I have a spare five litre tin of Motul MV300 in the garage for when you break the 300 barrier and also some spare Silkolene pro-race when you are near breaking the engine / gearbox and clutch

LOL!!
Only got a Full Exhaust system.
I really dont have time for my car to be breaking as i use it every day so i cancelled the remap, FMIC and everythink and gonna leave it standard
