Holey exhaust?
Hi I Have a JDM STI version 6. Arrived home today and noticed the centre section of the exhaust has a hole/leak in it just behind the box. Is this box a cat or just an extra silencer?
I obviously need to replace this centre section, so where would be the best place to get a direct replacement section from? And should I do this or just get a de-catted straight through pipe (thats if it is a cat). Where would be the best place to get one of these from.

I believe the classic STi centre section doesnt have a CAT in it. The section looks the same from the outside as a UK centre - but just doesnt have the cat core in the chamber - so just acts as a resonator.
Probably just as cheap to get a 2nd hand stainless steel centre - though if its a straight through pipe ( non-resonated ) you may will get more noise in the cabin and perhaps be a couple of dB louder outside the car too
