Default How to tell clutch condition by LOOKING ?

Hi,

Got my engine out, and only done a few miles prior to this (bought car 2nd hand).

Clutch was working fine , and owner "says" it was done approx 9000 miles prior to me buying it. (OK no paperwork there so best forget it).

Looking at the clutch itself.

There are still the angled "lines" which are on a brand new clutch , visible , and approx 3 to 4mm of clutch material.

Is this clutch likely to be pretty new ? Pretty old ? Inconclusive ?

I'm trying to get away without having to fit a new one if I can get away with it.

Any thoughts anyone ?

Cheers - Mark
