Hi people, Im picking up a WRX on sat. Im going to run it on optimax. Do i need to reset the ecu? as i think the guy before me 'didnt'. The engine seems sound enough and all seems ok, i just want to start as i mean to go on.
Any advice is more than welcome.
Cheers
swift

Is it an import (JDM), a UK > 2001 WRX, what year?
Has it been re-mapped for 95/98 RON fuel previously?
Need more info.

Regardless use Optimax for all the above plus octane booster if it's a JDM import.

You shouldn't need to reset the ECU as it "learns" apparently (if it's a later model).

Use optimax + booster unless you know it's been re-mapped to UK fuel
