lambda sensor do I need it
Hi guys,
Ive had a custom front pipe made and it doesnt have a hole for the lambda to screw in, do I need it or can I forget about it ?

You still need a lambda sensor, assuming you intend changing the downpipe?
the new one will have a hole for lambda sensor as from 95 onwards the lambda sensor is in the downpipe.

If your having a custom pipe made - then surely it can't be that hard for whoever made to drill a hole in the pipe and weld on a suitable size/thread nut to screw the sensor in?
Could do it yourself if you have a drill and a MIG welder
So if the sensor does happen to be on the down pipe and not the headers - then it's not the end of the world.

yeh cheers lads, its been given to me by a mate who owns a engineering company and I feel it a bit cheeky to ask him to weld the boss in, so il get my other mechanic to do it if its required, but ive a feeling its in the manifold anyway so il be cool.
