Default Boost guage

I have a new age 2001 wrx. Does anyone know the best place to get a reading from for a boost guage. Do you take it from the small piping connected to wastegate control and boost solenoid or is there somewhere on the inlet mainfold to connect it. If you connect it to the boost solenoid piping will you get a false reading when the solenoid valve opens?

Not sure if the new age has it but on the phase 2 classic there is an unused nipple with a cap on it on the inlet manifold.

Failing that the best bet is to tee into the small pipe coming off the inlet manifold to the dump valve.

There is no nice position or outlet like on classics. Also don't connect it to the Wastegate (like I did :-( ), it needs to go on the dump valve on the right hand side of the intercooler.

There's a thread here

But its a bit old so some of the piccies have gone now.
