I don't want to sound ignorant but I am having difficulty locating my fuel filter on a 2001 legacy 2.0 estate. On alot of Legacys it is located by the sceen washer bottle in the engine bay.
Is it somewhere near the fuel tank and how do I get to it?
The fuel filter is replaced every 4 years according to my service schedule.

if my memory serves me right its inside the tank on the offside part of the pump
