Personally I would wait until the engine is re-built and run in before fitting all the bits and getting it mapped.

That's what I did with mine

850cc injectors are FAR too big for a vf35 turbo, plus if you fit them with out a map your car will drive very poorly

why would you want to up the pressure on such huge injectors??

you up the fuel pressure to get more flow through smaller injectors....

a VF35 is only good for about 350.....850cc injectors however would have enough flow for about 600bhp...so theres a huge mismatch there, you only need 500s to max out a VF35.

i have 740cc in mine at the minute running a 20g turbo at 1.5bar and i think it would be more suited to 550cc

even so, i would only get 650s if you planning a 400 mission, anymore and its a waste....

850's are crazy. The spray pattern is not very good at all, and on a 2.0lt will be awfull on cruise.

With increased fuel pressure, you can squeeze circa 340bhp out 440's, 440bhp out of 550's, 600bhp out of 740's, and 690bhp out of 850's.

This assumes the parts, set up, and mapping are all very good.

Mark.

360 bhp on my 550's at std pressure ( via walbro & reg etc, running TD05 and headers etc. ) and only seen 81% duty cycle max. So 20% more available from the 550 injector's without playing with fuel pressure increases for safety ..say good for 430 - 440 bhp as Mark says above.

Agree with Mark, stick with 550's for up to 400bhp and consider upping the fuel pressure to have sensible IDC's at top end boost!

850's have poor "granularity" (SP?) at idle and it will run like a pig - unless you set your idle at about 1200rpm!
