Default Noisy aircon: any ideas?

My aircon's working OK, but if I just blip the throttle then I'm getting a nasty rattling sound from the aircon part that sits under the glove box. if I put my hand on it when blipping then I can feel the vibration.

Can anyone tell me which part of the system this is, and if there's anything obvious I can check out in attempt to cure it?

Thanks

Mike

My aircon is noisy aswell, on a MY95, seems like its the internals for me or the belt itself, no idea how to go about making it quieter. Cheers

PS I know this doesnt help!

Having had a bit more of a listen I think it's probably the compressor - it's ticking really loudly at low revs, but not when it's idling or running quickly. Very odd. The noise is being transmitted into the cabin.
