Default cluth prob

hi there people, i acquired my 97 type r about 3weeks ago and last night as i pulled away from lights the clutch started burning badly it has virtually gone should i be covered from the garage where i purchased it from. plus they are around 200 miles from me so will they be responsible for collecting it? help Help please

Read the small print.
I very much doubt that the clutch (as with tyres.exhaust/brakes etc ) are covered at all under any warranty.
A clutch change is a bitch of a job too, so they will be reluctant to 'help', BUT, politely call them and explain the situation (don't get stroppy).
Be clear about what you feel and ask if they will help.

If the small pront though does exclude the clutch then you are doomed.

Labour to do the clutch = about 8 hours, some do it in 5 and a good clutch kit is about £300 (fit a GOOD quality unit, no tat).

Hiding to nothing. The garage will just say that the clutch was fine when you bought the car, and that it's only gone because of the way you've been driving it.

exactly they went on the defensive straight away i have had a couple of probs with these guys and they just dont seem to want to know they have got my cash and thats it now. a tip for everyone dont buy a car from scooby clinic in chesterfield. any tips from anyone of what i can do
