Exclamation Changing Turbo Help

Going to change my turbo tommorow. Just wondering if you have to drain the oil off or not. Has there been any links to step by step guides.

Cool

No need to drain oil, you will loose some coolant though (about 1/2 litre)
Job is a tough one as the nuts/bolts are very rusty, so a good socket set/WD40 and some plasters for the knuckles are in order

A can of strong lager will help...

Good luck!

I would say check the condition of the uppipe and downpipe gaskets, if they aren't damaged and there is no sign of blowing then reuse them.

I would however use new seals on the oil and water feeds and a new gasket on the oil drain.

make sure u have a supply of bolts / studs handy as you will probabily chew/sheer the existing ones if mine were anything to go by when fitting a down pipe they aren't half baked on
