Default Catch tank contents

Had a catch tank on the car for a few months.

What would you say was "normal" to be seen inside the tank after this amount of time? and what is bad?

cheers

Mine has a little oil from vapor but nothing else. I 've seen another that was full of oily water but this was condensation due to short runs.

Mine too as a friend's with STI MY03...so probably we have less blow by vapours of oil and water!
Of course this is only good IF you have the correct oil catch can connections.

Mine started off with just water from condensation in it which i emptied after about a couple of months.
I just checked yesterday and there's a white mulch in the tank which, although not a lot (like a skin of mulch), i'm assuming this is the condensation and oil vapour mixing and turning into white mulch when cooled down?

No, just empty regularly because the engine breathes, which means that air goes back into the block when it cools. If the pipes are gunked up then you could have this sucked into the engine - yuck!
