DIY OIL PUMP MOD
HI,
Has anyone moded there own oil pump,or know what the problems are with the standard one, i have a mate who is a wiz on a lathe and miller and is willing to have a play.

Your right banny. The plunger in the relief valve is steal in an ally bore so if any crap gets between the two it can easily get stuck. Thats my understanding anyhow. The modified pumps have a highly polished plunger and maybe more (anyone chip in?) that help prevent this.

they are hardened, polished up, and are about 8/10ths of a thou (0.02mm) smaller than the standard one.
