Default Transfering and remapping Tek3 ecu??

I'm just about to buy a second hand ecu with a tek3 remap already installed on it but i'm having a few problems finding out if this is going to course any future problems with regards to the licencing of the tek3 software. If i do buy this ecu will i be able to get it remapped to my car without having to pay for a full remap and re-licencing, which is pretty much the full cost of a new tek3 and map??

Has anyone one else bought a 2nd tek3 or remapped one??

The licence only has to be for paid once. After that any remaps are charged at standard tuners rates at about £150 depending on the mapper.

Correct Alan. Given the length of relative time it takes to remap for any mod we do offer a cost reduced service to an existing customer bringing back a car we have already mapped, once the car is sold on then we would start with our normal fee for remapping a car with a licence in the ecu as the cost to the new owner. Then you would get the discounted remap rate ongoing after that. I appreciate you may think thats not fair from your reply to me but I do enough charitable work in this respect and some lines have to be drawn. Nothing to do with you personally btw, its the same for everyone.
