help i have a my 96 wrx wagon and the check engine light has come and the car will not idle properly it just revs up and down all the time it also stutters when you drive . the car is totaly standard and has not been messed with recently so i havent got a clue what it could be has anyone else had this problem or no what it could be thanks

lumpy idle is most likely maf, lambda, or coolant temp sensor.. but could be other things..

locate the connectors under the dash.. two black ones and follow the instructions on the site above.
