Question Ticking Noise? Help...?

Since i've had my car, there is like a tickey tick tick noise coming from the passenger side area, its definitely within the engine bay and the noise opens up as i accelerate. The cars performance hasn't changed in anyway and seems to be running fine. Its just a bit annoying with the windows down as unless i push it a bit, i can hear this ticking over the exhaust note!! Help??

Could be an exhaust gasket. I had similar noise comming from the engine bay on my WR1. Turned out to be the gasket between the turbo downpipe and the Cat.

Took several visits to the garage to get it sorted. Engine bay noises can be a ******* to track down.

Sounds like it could be the boost control solenoid. Open the bonnet with engine running and open throttle while listening closely to it, or even place hand on the solenoid (on left strut). You should be able to tell if it's that. Quite normal to be able to hear this. Mine seemed to get louder at one time but haven't noticed recently.
