Default WRX to STI exhaust

Got an import WRX 96....have been offered an STI classic Mid section and back box (import)...are they going to be any different and will there be a hp gain. The mid section looks like it has resonators in it but no cat, so I figure I'll be losing a cat. Is that right?

yes.. centre decat.. exhaust box flows better than the pee shooter but not much.. you are probably looking at 10bhp due to loss of cat.. if it is very cheap then worth it..

they all seem to be slightly different lol

easy to tell... is the bubble on the centre empty or does it had a honeycomb mesh on it when you look into the front end of it?

empty then no cat, mesh then cat.
