Default oil cooler modine

may sound daft but what is it? just found it on an invoice

It's the silver bit above the oil filter, that is plugged into the water system.

It is meant to warm up the oil sooner and help water cool the oil when hot as the radiator / cooling system water goes around there, but how much it does is anyones guess!!

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

all turbo engines.

Should be replaced after engine failures etc.
