Hi,

I am about to fit a Turbo Timer onto a 95 WRX Sti V-limited for a mate. but need to know what wire to connect the (Purple) speed sensor wire to. i know it will be one of the ecu wires or one behind the speedo just do not know which one.

Can anyone help?

Ive just fitted one to my 1993 WRX the purple one goes to the hand brake on mine!!! :-S

In one of the pdf files there are the different ecu pinouts for the different MY

I have Just Checked My Instructions and it Clearly Says 2 Pic Connector Brown / Parking Purple / Speed

Speedometer / Auto time feature
(Some vehicles do not have a speed signal to connect)
(1) Check your factory service Manual for the proper speed signal wire.
(2) Access the speed signal wire on the ECU harness.
(3) Connect the Purple wire to the speed signal wire.

NOTE: This feature should only be attempted by a trained Mechanic,
Serious electrical damage can result from improper instalation.
(Please Not i am a Qualified Mechanic so this is Not an Issue.)


The Instructions were in Jap. I had however previously Downloaded the Full Instructions / Installation Manual From the Greddy Website. The above is all it mentions about the Speed Signal Wire.
I know the Impreza has one. i just do not know which wire it is.
