Default Can Anyone Help Please????

Our WRX has started juddering, as it starts up and you accelerate it shakes, along with the normal burble noise its a popping noise a bit like its misfireing espec when you get to 2nd gear, tonight going down to work the power seemed to go then there was an almighty pop and it shot off again, didn't sound good, its spluttery, can someone help, we only got the car in March and its on a 51 plate!!!!

Does it do it all the time, or just untill the car warms up?

I'm no expert, but I would start looking at Plugs / Leads.

On cars with HT leads, those symptoms are exactly what you get when they start to break down and need changing.

Don't know how that information relates to the WRX though...

When you say HT leads do you meand the leads for the spark plugs??

By the way just incase you thought I'm thick lol, I'm asking for my hubby.

Yes,

Faulty spark Plug,
Cracked spark plug
HT lead (the high voltage lead that connects the coil to the spark plug) breaking down
Faulty coil (are they called "coil packs" on subarus?)

Me? i'd just drop it off at the local dealers & borrow one of their Foresters for the day!!

Well I know sweet FA about cars, being female and blonde may have something to do with it but I'm the general skivvy for my hubby, so I have to go round getting all this info and probably at the end of the day be told to pay half lol, yeah right I want paid for all my time and effort asking these questions.
