Hi Lads,

I've got a MY 97 scoob and only just changed from a JDM WRX. Now on start up there's a tapping noise until everything is warmed up. This could be the valves, is this usual?

Also, on start up after a run there is a mechanical clunk from what sounds like a worn engine mount. Does sound right to you guys?

Could be Piston Slap ?
Most common on MY 98 models.

Do a search for it, there will be loads of threads about it, may be of some help.
