Unhappy Car is holding back and exhaust fitting Q.

Hi, ive had my MY98 Type R for about a year now. When i first got it, it had just been imported into the country and it seemed bloody quick, nowadays it seems like its holding back when accelerating hard.

There is only 1 thing i can think of, it is what i believe to be the silencer(not sure), has given in and a load of wire/brillo pad has been coming out of the exhaust until the point where it is just in the centre piece and not budging. Could this be the problem?

If so, is there any way to solve this problem? Also, im not sure what the exhaust system is as it came with the car, but it is a 1 piece centre section and back box. Does this mean that a seperate centre piece and backbox wont fit as i had problems with the fitting of a standard subaru exhaust on for my SVA test.

Thanks in advance

Default

sounds most likely your problem.

you could try using a pole with a hook on to remove it??

If not time for a new exhaust system..

The Apexi exhaust from memory is one complete piece like that..
