Overfueling with atmos BOV - can it be beneficial?
Just wondering if the overfueling that occurs with a atmos BOV could be beneficial to a car that suffers from lift-off det.
The idea is that a temporarily rich mixture will be less likely to detonate.
Any ideas?

i would say possibly yes.......but also you have the chances of suffering from bore wash..........which is then probably worse than det!!!. either way mate ,its a tricky situation.id rather stay standard myself.but each to their own.

Having logged the AFR (wideband) with various VTAs and recircs i've got to say the difference is tiny (certainly not enough for bore wash ).
But come to think of it i have had more of a problem with lift off det since switching back to the OEM recirc. I'll have to put the VTA on with an unchanged map and see how it effects it. Trouble is the det/noise i see is not consistant. Worth a try tho.
Tony.
