This is a bit of a strange one but...

Sometimes when idling (rarely) but more often when ive stopped on a hill the car doesnt seem to idle properly (or very well). There also seems to be a vibration running through the car/steering wheel.

This all seems to have started since i fitted my guages (oil temp/pressure/boost), which did require the removal/refitting of the intercooler but thats about it.


Im just about to put the car in for a 90k service early which might rectify it.

check all the vaccum pipes are on and there is no leaks in the intercooler pipework

That might explain it, the intercooler was off before this started to happen.

How/why does it cause it to happen?

 

air sucked in messes up mixture etc..
