Ive read on SIDC.co.uk that MY95 WRX saloon is 260PS?!?! Whats that in bhp and can anybody confirm if this is true?

Yep its true. The first jap classics had 240ps upto 1995.
Yhe last of the jap classics 95 - 96 had a far better map and produced 260 ps, about 254bhp ish
The ecu in the latter ones is a "z4". I have one
Oh and apprently the z4 map is OK for Uk fuel as it is very simular to the UK prodrive map wich was out at the time

nice one dj!!! I thought it was like 220 or something "mild" like that. HOW can i check if the ECU is a "z4"?

The type of ECU should be on the cover plate. If you look under the kick plate in the passenger footwell then it should be obvious unless someone has removed the label.
