Default PRODRIVE worth it????

is it worth spending £1900 on a ppp or is there more cost effective ways of spending £1900 on preformance upgrades for MY03 sti? there is still 14 months warranty left. also is it worth changing the ride height to improve a fast blast??? cheers

If you haven't had the springs done yet, I can thoroughly reccomend Had the prodrive springs and setup done about 3 weeks ago and the ride improves enormously - car feels much more planted when 'pressing on' as well

As for PPP - it is worth considering non-prodrive as you'll get more "bang per buck" though you can kiss your warranty goodbye. Haven't done on mine yet but thinking of remap and 3rd party exhaust - have about 11 months warranty left (of extended) and have just had £400 quid work for new rear top mounts, then god knows how much for rear struts and they saved me £200+ for a warranty cambelt tensioner fault that was picked up on the service. IF I had gone third party instead of PPP, would probably have cost £1000 and the other £1000 would have probably gone on the above repairs. Purely as an example I would have still been better off as I would have had more power torque and driveability than standard or PPP.

Of course the other side of the coin is if you do bin the warranty, you can just as easily bin dealerships and their pricing - just bear in mind anything you do save may go on repairs in the future. Then again they may not .

All IMHO of course.

I have an 03STi PPP and in hindsight wished I'd spent the money on a decent exhaust system and Tec3 re-map, but at the time my prefered mapper was not offering this system.
