Default Going back to the standard dump valve

Hi, I am replacing the MAF sensor on my 98 turbo tomorrow as its causing the car to play up. While Im at it I am thinking about binning the aftermarket dump valve for the standard one, as Ive heard there trouble, and Im after an easy life to be honest. If possible Id like the car to idle as smooth as possible

If I remove the aftermarket item, where do the pipes go to? Does the original valve go in the same place?

chances are its a straight refit job but the hose that would have recirc'd back to the inlet will have a bung in it.
remove bung, reconnect the OE DV and its happy days.

maybe the previous owner removed the hose from DV to inlet altogether, in which case you would need to find the connection on the inlet and get a hose to connect from that to the standard DV.
