Default vibration in steering

Seem to be getting vibration in my steering at around 80 mph.Could it be the tracking is out if so can i get done anywhere or do i have to take it to somewhere like powerstation and have it all re set up cheers

IT MAY JUST BE THE BALANCING ON THE WHEELS ID TRY THAT FIRST MATE JUST A THOUGHT

ya I've got the same trouble. I'm going to get the front wheels rebalanced.

As everyone said - get the wheels balanced. Most places will do it for cash, as its a simple 10 minute job per wheel. Be careful where you go however, I've had to have a wheel rebalanced a couple of times because the first lot didn't seem to know what they were doing and really messed it up

Also check drive shafts. (as a last resort)
Found on mine that the inner cvs were shot, so the shaft flapped about,always at its worst between 75 - 90. Has took months to find. Has been to Subaru and another supposed specialist and they both failed to spot it.

On a non Subaru I couldn't get my wheels to balance. I tried 3 or 4 times at various tyre fitters and gave up. The imbalance was really bad I changed the front tyres for some Avons (previously cheapo-no-named) and the vibration disappeared! I don't understand what happened but the quality tyre sorted the problem.
