I dont know how to link to old threads, but there is a thread in General Technical back in January this year:

"93 WRX - what boost should it run?"

This thread has a lot of the ECUs and years listed. I found it really useful

From memory

Turbo UK/AUS WRX (1993-1996) : 7D or V7
Turbo EU (1993-1996) : 6D
WRX (1993-1994) : W6, U8, 2C
WRX RA (1993-1994) : W9
WRX (1994-1996) : Z4
WRX RA (1994-1996) : Z5
STi RA (1993-1995) : SB (chip fitted in spare slot by STi)
STi 2 (1995-1996) : 6K (no chip fitted, main board programmed by STi)
STi 2 RA (1995-1996) : 7K (As Above)
WRX Wagon (1993 - 1996) : V9, V5, 1C, 3B (I think V5 is an Auto)

By all means not all variant i.e not seen any STi Wagons etc..etc...

I can confirm that a V5 is an auto WRX Wagon ECU.
