OK, i have a 1992 impreza WRX import, it has been sat up for a year, started at least once a week but not driven. I have had it on the road for 12 days now and since i have been driving it i have noticed an inconsistancy with the boost. Sometimes it boosts up fine, feeling yourself being pushed back a bit in your seat and other times it feels like you are towing someone! Then sometimes, which is what made me notice it most is when u are booting it in like 3rd gear for example it is not smooth it pulls for a bit then dies off, then picks back up, etc etc.

Also, 2 of my mates have WRX imports on a 1993 and a 1994 and both of theirs boost up to 13-15 PSI (reading off their guages) but my guage doesnt read more than 8 no matter what gear i am in or speed.

I have been told it could be the actuator, it could be cracked or sticking. I do not think it is the turbo because it works sometimes.

I would appreciate it if someone could explain what is most likely to be wrong and if someone else has had this problem before?
