Engine problems!!
Preparing a trak car at present and have ran into the following problems....
Just fitted a new version 2 engine to car. While engine was out stripped out clifford p600 larm system every wire was traced to source and disconected.
Engine started off key no probelms but will only run for a couple of seconds and then cut out..............
This is the first scoob engine replacemet we have done checked everything we can think of but still not having any joy!!!!
Anyone make any suggestions on what to check????????

I think the clifford 600 come with a wireless fuel guard (immobilzer) so regardless of all the wires removed it might be still connected somehow?
No fuel, no start?
Thats my guess anyway.

could be more simple..............the fuel pump will kick-in and prime for a few seconds when switched on, turn to start and then the 'relay' should take-over...........if its not then the pump will stop as will the car!!

download the file you require, should be of some help.
PS. I think the realy is located above the fuse box in the driver side footwell.
3 in a row, one of them is the fuel relay. Hard to get too.

I had this after my mods on my Sti v3.
Situation was as Stockcar says.
Found it needed the alarm resetting.
ie Battery disconnect and get the system 'back in sequence'
All was perfect afterwards.
