Fuel pump problem
went to work in my 93 scooby (fine) came to go out for dinner and car would not start i noticed there was no noise from the fuel pump,so i cheked all the fuses,all fine cheked the relay under the dash even tried changing it still no go so took the pump out and powerd it up and that was fine.Now run out of ideas as to what the problem is has enyone got any ideas please .Ive now been redused to using a scrap astra to run around in and it is imbarassing can any one help?

When my fuel pump stopped working it was the wiring on one of the plastic connectors. Got towed to a Subaru dealer and they fixed it - I beleive it was the one under the back seat - it had burnt out or something. Was intermittant for a few weeks before that but finally gave up the ghost leaving me stranded in some dodgy area of North London!
make sure you havent got a clifford alarm with wireless fuel guard- otherwise known as "that piece of **** that always dies" ...
MY local cliford dealer actually refuses to sell replacment WFG now as they ALWAYS die within the waranty period apparently
and its costing the clifford dealer a fortune! LOL
I spent a while tracing all kinds of esoteric behaviour that boiled down to the WFG.

thanks lads i will try under the back seat .i now remember a couple of times it failed to start first time it sounds like it has been going for a while come to think of it . thanks lads i will give it a go and let you know thanks again
