Bob,

The most popular turbo for those sort of power goals tends to be a FE-TD05,

There has been a few people with these fitted, so have a search and see what it all entails.

I just fitted a VF24. Very pleased, lots more mid and top, some loss of bottom (below 3100) but not as much as with a TD05. VF 23 & 28 similar.

TD05 is a good move as Bob says and easy to fit but get it with water and oil pipes. 04 and 05 pipes look similar but are different. If your 04 is front entry then get a front entry 05. If it is a wagon with a TD 04 90 degree then go for a 90 deg 05 or better still, an FE05 with a 90 deg silicone elbow.
