Default location of ecu

Morning chaps,

Could some kind person please tell me the location of my ecu on my MY00. I would also be very grateful for instructions on how to remove it (piccies please if poss.)

the ECU is under the carpet in the passenger side foot well cover'd with a metal foot rest held on by 3 10mm bolt's

How difficult is it to remove the ecu itself? (without breaking a nail! lol)

It's a 5 minute job to remove. As mentioned above, lift the carpet, remove the kick panel disconnect the 3 harness plugs and lift the ecu out - simple .

Just remember to disconnect the battery first

Wear gloves, the metal plate covering the ECU is quite sharp, cut myself to shreads when I took it off. Aside from that, should be able to swap an ECU in less than 20 mins.

I found harness plugs a real pain to get off when changing mine over.
