Question Tek 1-2 &3

Can someone tell me what the difference is between a tek 1-2 &3.
Have been buying some mods for my motor, full decat, STI panel filter, and samco hoses.
Looking to get a remap when I get all the mods on, but which one do I get.
By the way the vechile in question is a 99 UK 2000 sportswagon.

Anyone help please

Not sure on tek1

Tek 2 I have, its an off the shelf map suited to mainly a full decat, it performs simillar to the prodrive ecu and is not optimised for your car, ie every car runs slightly different, richer, leaner etc.

So the one you want to go for is the Tek 3, a custom mapped ecu on your car for your specific modifications etc, slightly more expensive than the other 2 but well worth it. Reason I have not got the tek 3 as i have only full decat and I would have to travel a fair distance to get it mapped.

Forget the Tek 1,2,3, my advice would be to go for apexi ecu mapped by Andy F who posts on here. Will deffo be my next stage for tuning.

Hope this helps a bit. Im sure someone will prob give a more detailed run down for you but this gives you a basic idea.

Cheers

Coulster

between 245-270bhp 240-260ftlb torque with tek2, all rough estimates, never gauranteed.

(just to confuse you even more, my old mods were tek 2.5 (by John Banks) K&N induction kit, full 2.5 inch decat with firestorm backbox made 267.5 bhp and 252 ftlb torque)

Prob even more with tek 3..... apexi

I've got the same mods as you, not had it on the rollers but as a rough guide it is 270bhp and 280lbft of torque.
Don't bother with power figures, its the way it drives,
quicker turbo spool up, no flat spots, and pulls like a train to the red line!
