I had a leak in my other car. I kept putting newspaper down to soak it up. I also put the heater on (blowing into footwell) to try and dry it up when driving. It did seem to do the trick.

HTH.

Damian.

Another remedy if you can get fan heater to car plug in and leave on cold blow, with windows open a crack, the evaporation will dry out carpet, leave on all night. Cheaper than leaving on hot.
Have done it before and used this method for drying out my motorcycle gear as well as wet car seats.

See if you can get your hands on a de-humidifier!
