Angry HELP, car stolen, has been in repair for 8 WEEKS

Guys, really need some advice,

Had a 94 Impreza RA.

Was nicked by some greasy oik, cops found it 1 week later with fake plates and locks broken, (drivers door + ignition)

Insurer authorised repairs 8 weeks ago and I still don't have the car, body shop are telling me that they needed to source locks from Japan and they still don't know when they will arrive?

Has anyone else had this happen to them, are Imported cars really unable to use UK locks??

I am considering asking the Insurer to give me the car back unrepaired as I think I may never get it back! Does anyone know of anywhere that could repair it that knows their stuff?

Cheers!

I have had afew cars of mine go to garages for repair...and they all take the pi$$!!

I would find another bodyshop that has the parts in stock, confirm in writing and go back to the insurance company and ask them what are they playing at..

...All insurance companies use various body shops (you should be able to also get a list of these from them)
