Question Removing Defi's

Selling the car but want to know how easy it would be to remove the defi's? They were already fit when I bought the car so don't really have a clue. Will all the sensor ports on the engine need to be pluged etc....?? If so, how easy are they to come by and at what cost? Only have till thursday to remove them so if it's quite a big job i'll have to pass. Obviously if i get them off they will be forsale, oil pressure, oil temp and boost gauges in centre dash pod with defi control unit II, all like new.....

Boost gauge disconnect at manifold but plug the remaining tee piece.

Oil pressure gauge you'll have to remove the Defi sender from the adapter. Leave that in the block. You will however have to find the original oil pressure sender and screw this back into your adapter then find the pressure electrical connection and slip this back on the spade connect. Dont do that and there be no pressure warning on the main dash display.

Oil temp gauge. Disconnect electrically. If you want to remove sender and adapter then an original engine bung will have to be sourced.

Grade A Subaru might be able to help.

Cheers for the posts, think i'm guna have a go at removing them... although finding a plug for the oil temp before thursday could be a problem. Probably sounds like a really simple question but how does the pod fix down? does it pivot on hinges at the back and clip in place at the front? just that it seems really solid and don't want to wreck the dash trying to prize it out!

I'd be tempted to just leave the sensors in position and just remover the gauges and cabling.

Buy new sensors for the new car..
Easy.
